How to find the right running shorts for you?

At Run4It, we have a wide range of men’s running shorts made from lightweight, moisture-wicking materials, which provide a non-restrictive, cool and comfortable feel.

Our collection of running shorts offers different features, from reflective tape for added visibility, to excellent internal support in the form of an inner brief.

Determining the right running shorts for you generally comes down to two things – length and the type of running you do. What length do you prefer? Are a short distance or long distance runner? Gym goer? Or all-rounder? All these factors will help you choose running shorts that are fit for purpose and right for you.

Now let’s have a look at the main types, their features and differences…

Short shorts

Shorts with a shorter cut allow for greater airflow and ease of movement.

Twin shorts

Compression shorts

Compression shorts apply support and stability to the leg and thigh musclesincreasing blood flow to the glutes, groin, quads and hamstrings and in turn increasing the oxygen and nutrient flow. Meaning the muscles can perform stronger and recover faster.

I agree that you should find running shorts that best fit your running style, whether it’s short or long distance. It’s also important to consider if you need a pocket to hold your phone or media player so you can listen to music while you run. Sometimes it just helps to have your phone on you when you go running so you can check how far you’ve gone.
